The People

When you scare people, they become defensive, violent.

When you stir their acclaimed securities, they become hostile, accusing.

When you threaten their illusions, they become vengeful, resentful.

When you question their beliefs (“truth”), they become vindictive, condemning.

It was The People who cried out for blood in the Colosseum. It was The People who remained silent as Hitler butchered millions. It was The People who demanded the burning of the witches. It was The People who demanded condemning the anti-maskers, anti-conformists.

History repeats; in the same minds that create the same horrors. In their homes, in their relationships, in their social conducts. The alternative is not to be found in what The People imagine it to be...

Just a brief sketch of a most interesting (and useful) perspective..
