There is NO subject

It’s more challenging to take responsibility for our own self than to act as a social benefactor or conduit. Serving others is easier than serving our Self.  However, it’s not an “either/or” scenario.

It’s the fact that we are opposing, antagonizing, comparing, rejecting, separating, thus distorting our perception.

What eludes us is not readily visible in a civilization that values the seen over the unseen, but it’s always right in front of us, where we are not looking.

From the time we enter this world as a helpless, tiny baby, the essential skill that we need to master is learning, unlearning, relearning, co-learning, self-learning - the very essence of navigating life.

Learning doesn’t slow down or stop as we grow. There’s nothing wrong with our brains! However, in our core belief system, we imprint the notion, in multiple ways, that we stop. We start becoming opinionated, judgmental, self-abusive, obedient consumers, - each a personal version of a “knowing adult”.

We’ve learned to criticize our choices due to lack of understanding of life and this reality. We condemn others in our ego’s interest, we unknowingly support an internal court system labeled “justice”.

Innocence is mistaken for naivety, and guilt and shame become our foundational “moral” system for navigating our perception. The war we declare on our Self and the world is astronomical, yet still mostly unrealized.

It’s always possible to distinguish the innocent; there are so few of them around. Devouring huge amounts of information is not learning. It’s a sign of distress, just like overeating.

There is NO subject. WE are “the subject”!
