Becoming Conscious

You might be doing something for a very long time, without realizing its implications, its significance, its impact. It doesn't matter! There's nothing you can do about it and it also doesn't hold as much value and energy as you think it does.

But when you begin realizing, that's where your accountability and responsibility begin (accountability before responsibility).

It's when you begin to become conscious, where you can't pretend not to know. It's where your free will begins, where you have more than just one or two (opposing) choices.

Yet, as long as you assume that accountability means "pleading guilty" and shame, you remain in a medieval paradigm that has no exits.

Concepts and beliefs matter. They either expand or contract consciousness.
