Inner Life

If money, status and possessions is all you have, you’re extremely poor. But that’s all we’re taught to focus on, in our long years of indoctrination (called “education”), so that we may become consumers.

Building an external identity is hard work! If then, that’s all you have, losing it will seem catastrophic; the end of the world.

It’s not about what you have or don’t have. It’s not about denying material things. No! It doesn’t matter what or how much you have. What matters really is if that’s all you have or want.

We have an inner life as well as an outer life. When the inner life is neglected or totally ignored, the outer life suffers. But when we pay equal attention to our inner life as well as the outer, we reap the benefits long-term and they are incomparable to anything material.

After a certain point, there are no solid answers externally. You have to access deeper levels of your being to receive them. So, you need to have opened that doorway and work to keep it open.
